What does it mean to be verified on SolSea?
In short, when a collection is verified on SolSea, it means that our Collection Verification Team has confirmed the applicant as the true creator of the featured collection. For collections minted outside of SolSea, the team verifies the NFTs based on the first verified signer of the submitted collection.
Is it necessary for my collection to be verified before I can begin selling on SolSea?
Not really. However, to protect users from scam collections, all externally minted collections must be verified by our team before they’re available for sale on SolSea.
What steps should I take to verify my collection on SolSea?
Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:
👉Log in to your SolSea account and connect your wallet.
👉Go to “My Collections” in the left sidebar.
👉Click the three dots on your Collection cards and select “Verify Collection.”
👉Fill out the Collection Verification application form as prompted.
Alternatively, access Collection Verification directly through the sidebar. Carefully follow instructions and use the blue question mark icons for additional information.
What is Proof of Authorship?
Proof of Authorship involves various on-chain and off-chain methods to authenticate the NFT creator. In general, every case is unique and depends on several factors, including the type of art and the technique you use.
Here’s what you could submit as a Proof of Authorship:
Photos: raw files and screenshots of the editing process
AI-generated Art: a video demonstrating how you used AI to generate a piece of art based on a given prompt

Why do I have to submit Proof of Authorship to verify my collection?
Proof of Authorship is a vital step in the verification process, as it confirms you’re the actual author of the work.
Am I eligible for the collection verification process?
To be eligible, you must have a minimum of 500 followers or community members on Twitter, Instagram, or Discord. It’s never a bad idea to cultivate your community not for the benefit of SolSea, but for your own growth and success, as this might positively impact your sales. If you don’t meet this criterion, you may reapply later when you qualify.
Please note that our Collection Verification Team and Curators reserve the right to verify collections that fail to meet this standard.
Verification Timeline
The team aims to review applications within 5–7 business days. You can always monitor the status of your application by visiting the Collection Verification page. From the drop-down list, select the specific collection you wish to review.
What is my verification status?

🏁Final status: “Verified” or “Declined” (with guidance on necessary corrections)
You can modify your verification application by editing the form with the information given by the team and clicking “Update Application.” If everything’s correct, your status will change to “Updated” once the team reviews it. If not, the status will be “Rejected.”
How can I verify new NFTs added to a previously verified collection?
When adding new NFTs to a verified collection, update your verification application to request additional verification. This process prevents untrustworthy listings in verified collections, protecting users.
Follow these steps to update your application:
👉Go to Collection Verification in the left sidebar
👉Select the collection you wish to verify from the drop-down list
👉Update the form with new information as needed
👉Click “Update Application”
If your collection was minted on SolSea, simply click “Update Application.”
